Thank you Mr. Chairman.
Milton Friedman once said that the greatest advances of civilization, whether in architecture, painting, science, literature, industry or agriculture, have never come from centralized government. Well, here we are sitting in the epicenter in the European Union of centralized government. Centralized inter-commit council. Centralized by unelected commissioners. And hearing competition, and this policy in particular, we see once more how the centralized government wants to take control of business and how it acts. The EU centralized currencies in the euro, and we now see the damage in the eurozone and how much unemployment for young people exists. It has centralized rules and regulations, and we can see how the impact on trade on the European Union is. What we must take as a lesson from here is that the European Union should not be centralized anymore, give it back to the nation states and be free to compete on the world stage.
